Abstract: 5S is a basc foundation of lean manufacturing systems.The purpose of the case study is to use 5S tool to assist small scale manufacturing organization to become more productive and more efficient. A simple approach has been adopted to create the teams for implementing 5S. In the frames of case study, it has been analyzed that implementation of ‘5S’ resulted in overall improvement of the organization The aim of the implementation of ‘5S’ in the organization is to enhance the productivity, safety, efficiency through effective workplace management. ‘5S’ in simple terms is a Japanese technique consisting of five ‘S’ terms namely Seiri (sorting), Seiton (set in order), Seiso (shine), Seiketsu (standardize) and Shitsuke (sustain). As importance role of 5S implementation in today’s organizations, this study aims to review previous studies about benefits of 5S implementation and its efficiency in organizations. Consequently, 5S can support the objectives of organization to achieve continuous improvement in performance and productivity.
