dc.description.abstract | This project is a study of design and analysis of steel structure Industrial Warehouse situated in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. The structural analysis and design of members have been done using ETABS 2016 software. Changes to an existing layout has been done to increase the serviceability and efficiency of the structure. Warehouses are an important asset of a country as they are used to hold important items for a long period of time. Warehouses are built to be functional for a long period of time so, to make it efficient in the long run, use of steel is done for their construction. Steel provides a more aesthetic look to the structure by providing a range of trusses and members to be used for the construction. Use of Solar power for making structure energy efficient, transparent roofing sheets for provision of natural light in the building, provision of rainwater harvesting system and wastewater treatment units to increase functional efficiency is done to have a sustainable industrial building in the long run. | en_US |
