dc.description.abstract | Emergency braking system is a mechanical device which was added to the slow speed end of Electrical Overhead Travelling Crane. The braking mechanism is working based on the wedge braking methods. Emergency braking mechanism consists of brake drum, shaft, brake block and wedge. The arrangement was added at another end of rope drum. In case of any mechanical failure or a human error this arrangement comes into picture & avoid the accident thus, improves safety. | en_US |
