dc.description.abstract | The study of this paper is to show how carbon-carbon, AlSiC, & Hyper-eutectic materials can be used as piston material rather than commonly used Aluminum Alloys, Cast Iron, etc. We have carried out Static Structural and Steady State Thermal Analysis using ANSYS WORKBENCH to examine the above mentioned materials under high stresses and dynamic loads. The main aim of our work is to increase the pressure and temperature tolerance of IC Engine piston. | en_US |
