dc.description.abstract The Royal Asiatic Society (Bombay branch) started publishing its Journal from the year 1841. In July 1841 the first issue was out and the publication continued almost regularly till today. There was some period in between when the issues were either delayedly published or dropped. The total number of pages, if all the published issues combined together, are more than 20,000. All these pages carry more than 1000 articles by distinguished writers and researchers. The period 1841 to 1924 has been classified as Old Series, and subsequently the issues published from 1925 till today have been labeled as New Series. This collection has two separate DVDs (each one for the Old and the New series. On one side these issues offer the great references of history, social sciences and many other subjects which range from medicine to geography and philosophy to geology. The writers who wrote for the Journal include great names like Dr. RG Bhandarkar, Justice MG Ranade, Bharatratna Dr. PV Kane, Dr. DD Kosambi, J. Gerson Da Cunha, Durga Bhagwat, Prof. Vaijanathshastri Rajwade and many more. en_US
