Abstract:
This CD accompanies the book "Introduction to VLSI Circuits and Systems" by
John P. Uyemura, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. It contains student and
demonstration versions of programs that have been supplied by various companies
for inclusion with the book. They have been provided free of charge, on a
"as is" basis, so it is not possible to provide any support. The primary
limitation on the programs is the size of the code or circuit that can be
simulated. All programs are owned by their respective copyright holders.
Description:
The CD has two versions of the SPICE simulator (AIM-SPICE and MicroCap6), and
a Verilog simulation environment (Silos III). The disk also has a short
presentation entitled "Stick Diagrams" in .pdf format that supplements the
text discussion. A copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 has been included to
read the .pdf file.
Basic loading instructions for each program are provided below. All of the
programs must be installed on a hard drive to run. The author has tested the
programs on a 400 MHz Windows 98 machine with standard graphics and 128 MB
RAM with excellent results, but the programs seem to run well on lesser systems.
