dc.description.abstract CNC Technology has proven to be of great use in the sector of contemporary CNC system along with higher computational and memory storage capacity of modern computer, redefined the shop floor automation strategies. For the modern sector one of the biggest challenge today is how to make a CNC technology affordable, simpler and available to an extent that even an occasional user can think of owning such technology. Our proposed work was to achieve the objective of developing a low-cost effective CNC that can perform the basic operations. Based on our design and requirements, standard components required for developing the low-cost machine were selected. This resulted in developing CNC control by using Arduino microcontroller. The Z-Axis motion was obtained by moving the spindle motor housing, the X axis motion was obtained by moving the table and, the Y-axis movement was achieved by the sliding of spindle housing in Y direction. Thus completing the three basic Axes of the required. en_US
