dc.description.abstract Humans have developed many medications for their safety and for improving their quality of life. Among all the different medications antibiotics are most commonly prescribed in every disease state. Teratogenic and toxicity studies of different antibiotics to date have demonstrated significant effects in both animal models and clinical studies. The purpose of this investigation was to determine lethal concentration 10 (LC10), hatchability, mortality, and heart rate and study the teratogenic effect and toxicity of Erythromycin in the zebrafish model. Probit analysis is used to calculate LC10 value , and it was found to be 44.66 mg/L. In the case of Erythromycin hatchability decreases with increasing dose, mortality increases with increasing dose, and heart rate decreases with increasing dose. However, no effect was observed on the morphological characteristics in developing embryos of zebrafish larvae. This research can be used in considering the safety of Erythromycin for their use during pregnancy. en_US
